Romantic Engagement Photos in Winter Park, FL
Nestled in the quaint town of Winter Park, Rollins College was the perfect location for Kristi and Andy’s outdoor Florida engagement shoot.
As an engagement and wedding photographer, you notice people aren’t comfortable in front of the camera. These two, though, were the exception. They exuded love for one another and had a sense of calm and comfort throughout the entire shoot.
Coming Together After Years Apart: A Military Love Story
Kristi and Andy’s romance is the definition of reconnecting love.
They began as high school sweethearts that got engaged at 18. After Andy left to join the Air Force, and Kristi stayed behind for college; however, they chose to go their separate ways.
Years after, in true romantic-movie fashion, Andy reached out to Kristi. He told her that after all of their time apart, he still felt like she was the one. One year later, Kristi moved from Colorado to Florida, and they’ve been together ever since. Now, they’re anxiously waiting to get married and start their happily ever after.
Beautiful Florida Engagement Photos at Rollins College
On the day of their engagement photos at Rollins College, I almost had to cancel.
In true Florida fashion, the weather was being unpredictable, and the radar showed rain. In the end, however, I felt for their busy schedules and decided to give it a go.
Thank goodness we did!
The skies opened up into a picturesque afternoon. Calm blue water and bright green foliage made for glamorous backdrops, and Kristi’s gorgeous black dress brought a sense of vintage charm to the day.
Their down-to-earth sweetness came out in the session and made for one of the most endearing shoots I’ve ever done. Furthermore, the way these two looked at each other was more than just love – it was kindness, respect, and appreciation.
I can’t wait for their upcoming November wedding at the Grand Plaza Hotel in St. Petersburg, FL.
