The River House St. Augustine Wedding

This was our first weddings of 2022 and it was amazing! Congrats to our newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs. Nelson. Marissa and John’s St. Augustine wedding at the River House was beautiful and fun.

John is actually a part-time DJ in the Orlando wedding industry. We were thrilled when we were asked to photograph his and Marissa’s wedding at the River House in St. Augustine. They love traveling the globe together and both of their families are so sweet. To be able to work with such an amazing couple is an honor. Also, they have a handsome dog named Kona! I got the pleasure photographing Kona at their engagement session in New Smyrna last year.

Their Wedding Venue Choice

The River House is located right on the water; which was a huge plus. It fit their vision perfectly. For their theme, Marissa and John LOVE Christmas, so they really wanted a Christmas-themed wedding. They weren’t able to get a December date together, so they chose January because it’s close enough! Their colors were red and gold. They wanted an elegant, classy, formal feel for their wedding. Their reception was SO fun! LOTS OF DANCING- Marissa & John love to get down on the dance floor!

I’m in awe of Marissa’s wedding details. I LOVED all of it! I am HERE for it! Those wedding shoes though!! 😍

Magnolia Avenue in St. Augustine was on the top of Marissa and John’s list for portraits. So we just HAD to photograph there and it didn’t disappoint.

Okay, I need to make a confession… I LOVE lighting. Most photographer’s hate lighting, but I think it is so fun and challenging. I thrive on it!
