Oh, how I love a St. Augustine Engagement! We had the most beautiful afternoon with Shelby and Ryan photographing their St. Augustine engagement. We explored the cobblestone streets of St. Augustine, the Lightner Museum and then ended our engagement photography session at the Castillo de San Marcos Fort. Visiting St. Augustine, Florida

Shelby and Ryan love visiting St. Augustine. There is this milkshake place that they always go to while visiting, so we decided to incorporate that into their engagement session. Not only did they get good photos with their milkshakes on the cobblestone streets of St. Augustine, but they were able to have a tasty dessert along the way! I LOVE photographing special places and things that are meaningful to my clients.

My Favorite Part of their St. Augustine Engagement Session

My favorite part of their St. Augustine Engagement session was the part that I get the be creative! I love creating imagery that not everyone creates. This sets me a part from the other photographers in the industry.

Their Proposal

Their proposal is so sweet: Shelby is a nurse and works night shifts. She had to work on Christmas Even. When she got home from work on Christmas morning, Ryan handed her a gift. It had a tiny piece of paper that had a ‘clue’. She was on a scavenger hunt for these gifts. One gift was even in their dog’s collar, but wasn’t the engagement ring! Shelby knew something was at this point. At the end of the scavenger hunt, they were both under the mistletoe while she read the last ‘clue’. Ryan pulled the ring off of the mistletoe as she read, “Will you marry me?”. How perfectly sweet!

Shelby and Ryan get married in St. Augustine this month! I can’t wait to document their wedding day. Shelby is going to make a stunning bride! We will share their wedding images in a future blog- so stay tuned!
